Aha, I thought Germany would lead and have it switched off before The Netherlands.

But what is the added value of X75 over IP? It makes sense to make a connection with someone who ONLY has "pure" X75. But that will end this year. From then on X75 is X75 over IP only. But when you have IP, why not use that to transport data instead of X75 over IP?  When binkp over IP works much better?

X75 or POTS over IP is not really using an alternate technology. It works when IP works and it fails when IP fails. Fido over carrier pigeon make more sense, that still works when the internet collapses. ;-)
