All major German telecommunications providers will have switched off their ISDN connections by the end of 2022. There are no new deals here either. Everything runs then also over VoIP. Telekom (DTAG) makes it possible with RFC4040 to use the ISDN protocol X75 via IP. The Fritzbox offers the possibility of connecting ISDN devices and also connections for modem/fax or analog telephones. So some people in R24 still use pots/ISDN connections. Who knows, maybe nostalgia too?

I also think that in the end Fido over IP will remain. But we are open to technology and use all possibilities that exist and as long as they exist.
