In the old days, when one had two or more POTS/TSDN lines one needed more that one node number because there is only room for ONE telephone number in a nodelist line. Some telcos offered ringdown on multiple lines. At extra charge...

So my guess is that these multiple entries are indeed relics of the past.

Oddly enough I sometimes get the IPv6 address and sometime I do not. Something fishy at homeip.net?
