Subj : Weekly nodelist report on noteworthy changes (157) To : Nodelist Police Commissioner From : Deputy Nodelist Police Date : Fri Jun 05 2020 11:47:17 Hello Nodelist, On Friday June 05 2020 09:39, you wrote to All: NC> In net 226, for 3 IP-Only nodes, the 300 baudrate has been changed NC> into 33600. The other 6 nodes (also IP-Only) are still 300. Is NC> the higher baudrate a status symbol maybe? (Mine is bigger than NC> yours). It breaks with the tradition of using 300 as an (additional) signal for "do not attempt to call via POTS". For an IP only node listing anything other than 300 serves no technical purpose, it provides no information on how to setup the connection. So yes, it is vanity. Then again: If you can not get more out of an IP connection than 33600 you'r doing very poorly anyway... R29 still has two RPKs. The IBM flag for 1:106/633 is still not corrected.
