Subj : Weekly nodelist report on noteworthy changes (056) To : Stas Mishchenkov From : Michiel van der Vlist Date : Fri Mar 04 2022 11:06:22 Hello Stas, On Friday March 04 2022 01:30, you wrote to Nodelist Police Commissioner: SM> How many sysops do you think have already applied the patch that Pavel SM> took into account when recently fixing errors in nodelist.pl. I do not know and I do not care. The fix is available. So if sysops encounter problems it is their problem, not mine. Rewarding lazy sysops that do not update buggy software is a bad idea. SM> I suspect that this is not the only example of such a reading of the SM> nodelist. Before that, there were no nodes without flags at all. I am too lazy to try to falsify that last statement but the fact is that lines without flags are kosher according to FTS-5000: Field 8+: Flags (optional) Type: string; Length: varied; Characters: varied. Any remaining fields from position eight (8) onward are flag fields. Note there may or may not be a trailing comma after Field 7 if there are no flags listed. See FTS-5001 for details on the flag fields, including length restrictions. Cheers, Michiel --- GoldED+/W32-MSVC 1.1.5-b20170303 * Origin: Nodelist Police Station (2:280/5555) .
