I think otherwise. Strictly speaking, with such a wide range of configurability, the default value can be any convenient for the author. ;)

What do you mean?
Do you consider it necessary to be able to disable the sending of this information? It seems to me that such an insignificant saving of traffic can only cause annoyance of the called sysop with the anonymous call.
