Ah, I see. Well, thanks for trying to change it back - but I guess if that's how the feed has changed from the site. Just guessing - but maybe they get advertising revenue through banner clicks etc - which get lost via the RSS feed... > Glad to know there are some hockey fans in the UK! I like being able to > access things online, but yes, sometimes a paper magazine is preferable! It's a bit of sub-culture and a lot of people in the UK would be surprised too that it exists. The top league here is called the EIHL (Elite Ice Hockey League) and they have some decent-ish arenas (but not NHL standard, of course) and a fair few ex-NHL imports (or imports that never quite made it to the NHL). They've got up to some pretty decent attendance figures in the past - up to about 17,000 for the big games! There are some home-grown players too in the top league - and better youth programmes are helping more of these to come through. One guy was drafted to a junior NHL program this year I think (Kirk Liam I think). In the lower leaguges, its a lot more local lads but they still take things pretty seriously, from the few games I've attended! Was watching Slapshot the other day - was nice to see them all in the smokey bars, reading the hockey newspapers, watching the games on TV. And none of the players wearing helmets apart from the netminders. I'm still learning the basics of hockey though - it's a fairly new/rekindled interest (with the seed planted when living in Calgary some 20-odd years ago)! Anyway - a rambling reply! Sorry! And thanks for your reply too. --- SBBSecho 3.14-Linux * Origin: >>> Magnum BBS <<< - bbs.magnum.uk.net (2:250/3) .
