Once upon a time (before I switch to and then from a MacBook) I had a Surface Pro 4 w/ the fold down keyboard.

It was actually a pretty slick device, except if you wanted/needed to be able to use it on your lap or the couch.  It came with the pen and I played around with it when I first got it, but it mostly sat in the drawer.

The touch features were neat, except if you were typing away and accidentally brushed the screen with your knuckle and moved your cursor somewhere.

I did try detaching the keyboard and using it as a tablet a few times, and while it worked, it wasn't as fluid/friendly as an iPad.  I ended up selling it and switching to a 2015 MacBook Pro.  (And then sold the MacBook and am now w/ an X1 Carbon).
