If I recall, some of that is caused during system updates and something like CCleaner can be used to get rid of quite a bit of it.

As a sidenote, I loved Crackberry back when I used a Blackberry. My first was the Pearl, then the Bold (which was probably my favorite). My last one was the Storm 9530. The idea was great but the phone was just a bug-riddled mess. I switched briefly to a Windows slider phone for a couple of months and then moved on to Android after that.
