Subj : MakeNL v3.4.1 Release To : Ward Dossche From : Nicholas Boel Date : Fri Jul 27 2018 01:25:02 Hello Ward, On 30 Dec 13 01:46, Ward Dossche wrote to Michiel van der Vlist: Mv>> Is this fair to all the people that have worked on the project? I could use it. And you can definitely use it. Do you remember just within the past couple days you and Roy discussing the fact that he was trying to crash a netmail to a PVT/Unpublished system with an INA/IBN DNS listed, and it wouldn't send? Enabling this feature would eliminate that PVT, which would allow the netmail to be sent. WD> It's a matter that surfaces for political reasons and only at "that" WD> time of the year. I see it the other way around. Something involving politics of some kind is what is holding the advancement of Fidonet back. WD> The only people that I can read about this are the ones that don't WD> need it. I don't really need it per se. But if I were to test a new upcoming Linux version of D'Bridge, I would definitely want this feature in place immediately. I am surprised you don't, to be honest. WD> I'm still not impressed. So is it you that is holding the rest of us back? I know Janis upgraded as soon as it was released. Scott? He's probably upgraded since he's pretty meticulous about his Linux system(s). Apparantly ZC4 is ready.. What's up? Set down the chalise for a few minutes, send a netmail to the rest of the ZCs and add 12 characters to your makenl control file. If you wish, go ahead and add another 11 characters to your control file allowing 8bit characters as well! Once the rest of the ZCs do the same, it can be announced to the RCs to follow suit.. It's that easy. Regards, Nick --- GoldED+/LNX 1.1.5-b20130910 * Origin: Dark Sorrow | darksorrow.us (1:154/701) .
