Subj : arch efi went well until second reboot To : ALL From : SETH HURST Date : Fri Mar 22 2019 16:47:32 So I managed to get grub installed on a uefi system. When I rebooted with out unmounting the live cd it took me strate to the arch login screen. I installed efibootmgr befor installing grub because when I did it the first time it said it needed that package. There are the commands I used. grub-install --target=x86_64-efi --recheck /dev/sda grub-mkconfig -o /boot/grub/grub.cfg It said there were no errors and it went well until I unmounted the iso. It took me to this efi interactive menu. Being blind I scanned it with OCR and found this shell> prompt at the very bottom. Did I do something wrong here and how could I fix this on the next install. Someone told me about the udate-grub command. / --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5 * Origin: Fido Since 1991 | QWK by Web | BBS.FIDOSYSOP.ORG (1:123/140) .
