Yes, 64bit incompatibility was one of my thoughts, too. But we have 2017 and 
not 2007...
Thanks for your confirmation that it's not 64bit incompatibility!

Truely, some weird config option was another thought for the segfaults, but I 
would never has guessed what might have caused this to segfault.

In Debian default ifmail/config there is:

# grep -v '^#' /etc/ifmail/config | grep options
options         (time Any0000-2359) NoHold

I'll test again after I removed that option and report back if this made ifcico 
to work!
