LOL. I think they were trying to stay ahead of the curve with tablets and touch 
screen laptops. That's the only place Unity belongs, IMO. But yeah, when they 
released that I believe was the last time I used Gnome at all. Sure there's a 
bunch of other variations now, some better than others, but wow what a misqueue 
on that one. ;)
