Subj : showing off To : Benny Pedersen From : Maurice Kinal Date : Tue May 12 2020 09:29:49 Hallo Benny! BP> you can possible precompile into the pkg repo ? BP> so its just BP> pkg install binkd That is the goal but at the moment I am still working out the enviroment variables etc. and as you can see from "Facilities: fts5004 ipv6" and "ldd binkd" both zlib and bzip2 support are lacking at the moment. I do have both those pkgs installed so I figure I am missing vital information for the linker as to where the libraries and includes are now kept. BP> more minimal then what i have on gentoo :) Yes. However it is missing the on-the-fly compression. I am not sure how important the really is but it would be nice if any termux apps we add will have the same capabilities as a GNU/Linux enviroment has. No? BP> my huawei p30 pro have hdmi via usb dongle, then i have a 49" BP> monitor to all kind of things, put the phone in desktop mode its BP> not a dream :) I know, I have seen similar here. The 10" tablet I am currently using to achieve a working termux deveopment enviroment lacks that but no matter since it isn't anything of interest to me at the moment. It is a cheap way to get this idea off the ground. Anyhow it has a 2GHz quad core ARM processor with 2G of ram which looks to be capable of achieving the plan for it. BP> the phone have 4k @ 60 fps, not many pc's can do this yet I have an external hdmi capture device that can handle it. So far I haven't used it for much and may end up selling/trading it for something I might find useful to me. In the meantime I have some troubleshooting to do in order to get zlib/bzip2 support into binkd. After that if we decide to port the Husky stuff then it *should* be ready for that, especially linking the dependencies hpt will require (smapi, fidoconfig, etc). Also msged and perhaps a golded port. Myself I am planning to use the vim I managed to install via "pkg install vim" and give meaning to, "Græd ikke for mig, jeg har vi." :-) Het leven is goed, Maurice .... Huil niet om mij, ik heb vi. --- GNU bash, version 5.0.17(1)-release (x86_64-pc-linux-gnu) * Origin: Little Mikey's EuroPoint - Ladysmith BC, Canada (2:280/464.113) .
