There are some functionalities which I liked about mc, but if I shared shell with somebody, it was nightmare to search history and mc history to find out what he did wrong... And later, I recognized, is better to use "standard" tools than others - simply if you want to fix system of somebody else, you can not tell him: "first you have to install mc and nano".
