Subj : UTF-8 Support To : All From : Flavio Bessa Date : Wed Apr 19 2017 14:25:11 Hello, Well, I've managed to overcome the other difficulties I was experiencing with JAMNNTPD, and now the only pending issue is that apparently the latest version of Mozilla Thunderbird overrides the default text encoding you configure at the newsgroups account with UTF-8 when you are composing a message, hence it complains that I am trying to send a message using UTF-8, which is not supported. In that case, I need to change manually the text encoding to ISO-8859-1 every time I compose a message, as it's always set to UTF-8. Considering that a lot of people here use Thunderbird, how did you manage to overcome that? Is there any .chs file for UTF-8 that could be used? Any comments will be appreciated. --- Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.11; rv:52.0) Gecko/20100101 Thund * Origin: Saturn's Orbit BBS - JAMNNTPD trial - Brazil (4:801/188) .
