please tell me/us that you are (ab)using that WRT54G as a switch instead of as 
a router... that's assuming (yeah yeah yeah) that it is behind the xfinity 
router...

when there's a router on the perimeter, there's no need for any routers behind 
it unless there are multiple networks with different IP ranges on the inside...
