Subj : G3 modem To : All From : Michiel van der Vlist Date : Tue Jun 07 2011 00:47:36 Hello All, This week a major supermarket chain here in The Netherlands has an attractive offer for a 3G dongle plus prepaid sim card. EUR 30 for the package including EUR 5 credit. I could not resist and bought one. Installing was a piece of cake and it works as advertised. So far so good. The provider does not offer native IPv6 (yet) and so I get a (dynamic) public IPv4 address. Win XP tries to set up a 6to4 automatic tunnel. I get a 2002: IPv6 address. But.... Jason Fesler's test says I do not have a IPv6 address and I can not access ipv6.google.com. Seems I have run into one of those infamous 6to4 problems. This may become interesting on IPv6 day... ;-) Update: When I disable 6to4, Teredo cuts in and I get an IPv6 address via Teredo. THAT works, albeit a bit slow. So it seems my mobile ISP is blocking protocol 41. :-( Cheers, Michiel --- GoldED+/W32-MINGW 1.1.5-b20070503 * Origin: 2001:470:1f15:1117::1 (2:280/5555) .
