yes all lines as comment means default compiled in glibc

gentoo is not yet on 2.17, so i dont know if gai.conf defaults is changed there

its first time i see a rpm based distro being ahead of gentoo :)

is 4.7.1 gcc version ?, if so here is 4.7.3 in use
