I just checked my ISPs IPv6 support site, and it still shows that this should
all have been done back in 2012. Since the fear of actually running out of IPv4
addresses has long since passed, it seems as though ISPs are slacking because
of it.

Pretty much the same scenario here. I have a DOCSIS 3 modem, as well as faster
speeds (I believe there's even two more speed tiers above what I have, but for
the price it's not worth it), but still no native IPv6 yet.
