Yes.

When there is an AAAA record, my browser attempts to connect via IPv6. It keeps trying until there is a time out. Only then does it switch to IPv4. This gives a very nitceable delay, especially if there are multiple items to laod, as the procedure will be repeated for every item.

This delay was exactly the reason why not so long ago content providers were reluctant to add AAAA records to their website. Flakey IPv6 implemantations that try to connect by IPv6 that fail and that drop back tp IPv4 will cause unacceptable delays.

It does not matter. ANY hostname that points to the AAAA record but not to an A record will do for he test.

But alas, http://felten.vlist.eu gives an error 404.

So.. your website is not accesible by IPv6... :-(

BTW, the ping times you see above are via my he.net tunnel.

When I ping via SixXs, the average is 76 ms
