   That's exactly what I do, and I know that you're using an OpenWRT router -- I've read the Fidonews articles. :)

   My 15yo Dell computer, running XT/SP2, connects directly to my ADSL modem via one network card, and bridges the connection via a second NIC to a switch that distributes it all to the rest of the LAN.
