I had the impression that he could not be reached after midnight, but that is the only time I have mail for him. After a few attempts his mail is put on hold for some time. But he polls my system on regular intervals. I think every hour or 30 minits. So the mail is collected shortly after it put on hold. He uses qico, wich should support IFC and IBN. If he cannot be connected there is either something with his firewall or the way xinetd is configured. Qico uses the internet deamon for incoming IP connections.
