In testing, the DDNS client sends the WAN IP of the relevant protocol to the
server.  For IPv4 (or dual stack), this is quite useful, since that's
connections terminate for IPv4.  For IPv6, that's less useful, because often
you want to give the hostname to something _behind_ the router, which has a
different IPv6 address.
