Yes, XP did have a development version IPv6 stack available and I have used it
in the past, going back even more than 10 years.  You have to install it (a
simple command in a command prompt window), and from memory, it is controlled
by netsh commands, no GUI configuration.  The default settings will get IPv6 up
using SLAAC.  I don't recall having any issues with XP's IPv6 stack, it seemed
to work fine.
