Subj : RIPE to run out of IPv4 this week? For sure I can tell you that X.25 (over Frame Relay) is still in operational use ... e.g. in some mobile operator networks (I know of at least 2, but I suspect at least one more) in Germany it's used for management of some network elements. Same goes with OSI networking, TDM, ATM ... I am quite certain, that token ring is still around as well. ;) AG>> It's like at my work ... for some reasons we still have some AG>> Mainframes running MVS around. Pulse MvdV> dialling is no longer supported by what ever I can hook it ip to. What? You might want to use a cheap ISDN a/b adapter (which usually still support pulse dialing), attach it to your Fritzbox S0 interface and have fun. At least my ISDN hardware still supports pulse dialing on its analogous ports. AG>> There's still people out there developing IPv4 only. MvdV> in COBOL? ;-) No, in Java, .NET ... name one ... Gmail is not working (for one person) ... may be quite an expensive incident. CU Andre E-Mail: andre@grueneberg.de --- timEd/Linux 1.11.b6 * Origin: Testing timed/Linux (2:2411/525) .
