Maybe not so long.

I wonder how long the situation of IPv4 only content will last. The big content providers will have no choice but to implement IPv6 when they start losing customers who are IPv6 only. Some big ones like google and youtube have already done so.

Anyway, the US Veterans Affair Department has announced that they will switch off IPv4 in Oct 2014:  http://tinyurl.com/69bg7vv

Such as the SixXs IPv4 -> IPv6 gateways?  I don't think that scales well. Besides it serves only one protocol. The SixXs gates are for http only. Who will make a gateway for Binkp? No use, might as well route the message via a dual stack binkp site.

It is already three years ago that I decided not to buy new network equipment that is not IPv6 capable. The vendors were not impressed... ;-)
