I am not surprised that Linux follows Windows in this. 6to4 is very unreliable. Many articles have been written about it. Here are some:

Teredo has similar problems, but fortunaltely that seems to be dead for quit a while now. Microsoft swtched off their Teredo servers severak years ago.
