I tried that on one of my TP-link routers.  It very efficiently removed both
wifi modes.  Nowhere in the configuration I could find to activate at least the
supposedly supported 2.4 radio.  Going back to factory, was a pain, both times
I tried that.

Yes.  Still (after all these years) in Beta, but yes, it IS static.  Have you
