Subj : IPv6 and Netgear followup To : All From : Mattias Larsson Date : Thu Aug 18 2016 11:11:25 Hey all. So I finally got some feedback from the Netgear community forum and as expected Netgear themselves where of little use. :) They pointed me to a guide on how to enable IPv6 by setting it to Autodetect, which I had already done ofc. Not a word on other possibilities like firewalling etc. I did however get a response from other user asking me what the problem with performance was on 3d-party firmwares and hinted me towards a option in Tomato by Shibby under the Adv->Misc section called CTF (Cut Through Forwarding), so I flashed the R7000 again and did a couple of speedtests both with and without this option set... Dang! Talk about difference. 250Mbit without CTF, 980Mbit with. :D Happy camper as I was I quickly setup my he.net tunnel and opened up a few ports which was stupidly easy in Tomato. Done and done, should now be working at full speed AND the IPv6 features I need. --- Mystic BBS v1.12 A31 (Linux) * Origin: Beyond Systems BBS (2:203/210) .
