Yea, I have even tried it but it drops the performance way to much to be
usable in my case. down to somewhere around 360Mbit. Found this on DD-WRT's
site:

"The difference in throughput between DD-WRT and the Netgear firmware is that
the latter uses hardware acceleration for simple NAT, which is proprietary
and therefore unavailable in DD-WRT."

I'm considering getting myself a Ubiquiti EdgeRouter or Unifi Secure Gateway.
They seem to have good performance and "probably" better support for IPv6 out
of the box. Then I can use the Netgear as an AP instead I guess.

We'll see which way it goes depending on what Netgear and my ISP responds
with.
