But of course allowing IPv6 addresses in the configuration is just a first step.

Indeed. The DSN resolver also needs to check a host name for both A and AAAA records and when both are present a choice must be made which one to use.

There is no IPv6 support for either OS/2 or Ecomstation and there may indeed never be. I say, they are at least 5 years late and may have missed the boat entirely.
