Teredo is a tunneling technique with automatic tunnel setup from microsoft. It works, but not al l that well.

You do not need an IPv6 ready router to get some IPv6 functionality. Teredo was designed to work behind a NAT. The name is derived from the Teredo worm that bores though ship's hulls.
