Actually, it's a containerised version of Wine.  Allen is running Crossover
(the commercial version of Wine), by the sounds of it.  I used to run it when I
ran a Mac.  Wine is not virtualisation, it's an API translator, so it should be
using the same IP as the Mac itself.
