Damn, I was hoping it would be as easy as it was with the other Linux distro I was using prior to the recent migration. I was wrong.

Nope. I just didn't have it setup right, most likely. I should be back to my normal MAC based address now though, as I reverted all my trial and error efforts back to what I had.
