Fifteen years ago...

A remarkeably long time, compared to what it took other changes in technology to get a foothold. The mobile telephone went from "toy for the rich and famous" to "my mother has one" in less than five years. And then from "just a telephone" to the smart phone in another five years. GPS dito. Many of the technologies that were born around 2000 are already on the way out.

IPv6... is still in its infancy... :-(
