At least in Sweden they are in the same BF> situation vs. fibre as ADSL was vs. POTS modems just ten years ago. Not here, or in the USA. I dont t hink there are any routers and/or receivers available here yet, except for individual devices (dongles) BF> In 2014, 54% of all Swedish households were connected via fibre. 99,4% BF> had access to LTE (4G). Would be nice. Here Ma Bell is saying this year (maybe) we will have fibre, but, they are fighting hard to keep the independents out of that. I have to use Bell lines, but they are not my Internet provider. I have an independent, and get 4 times the bandwidth for half the price. There are drawbacks unfortunately. The big companies who have to supply bandwidth to the independents, tend to slow things down whenever they think they can get away with it. BF> So, not many are forced to use ADSL here any more... 8-) I prefer it to cable in any case --- SBBSecho 2.32-Win32 * Origin: The Lions Den BBS, Trenton, On, CDN (1:249/303) .
