Subj : IPv6 connection! To : RJ Clay From : Michiel van der Vlist Date : Sun Dec 27 2015 00:45:36 Hello RJ, Saturday December 26 2015 17:59, I wrote to you: MV> It works! MV> + 17:58 [336] call to 1:120/544.6@fidonet MV> 17:58 [336] trying ftn.rocasa.net [2604:9980:0:12b::1cac:78d8]... MV> 17:58 [336] connected But now there is another problem. I can not connect to 1:120/544 using the information in the nodelist. 1:120/544 is listed with host name ftn.rocasa.net. That resolves to 2604:9980:0:12b::1cac:78d8 and 198.37.105.146 1:120/545 is listed with host name ftn.rocasa.com. That resolves to 2604:9980:0:12b::1cac:78d8 and 198.37.102.11 So 1:120/544 and 1:120/545 have the same IPv6 address. 2604:9980:0:12b::1cac:78d8 only connects to 1:120.545 however. So to connect to 1:120/544 sysops should force their mailer to connect via IPv4. You need to remove the AAAA record for ftn.rocasa.net, or replace it with the proper AAAA record for 1:120/544.
