SCTE Creates IPv6 Working Group

The Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers (SCTE) today announced the formation of a working group that is expected to advance planning for and deployment of IPv6 across cable networks.

The IPv6 Deployment Working Group will bring together cable engineers, engineering managers and other thought leaders from the cable system operator, hardware and software communities to share information and best practices on device management and service enablement in an IPv6 environment. The group will address the impact of IPv6 on management of DOCSIS© devices; service enablement; voice and video services; and other topic areas.
