I am not surprised.

1) My laptop is only "on" when I am actually using it. It goes into sleep mode when it gets no input from me.

2) The firewall in the camping's router may block incoming ICMP. IPv6 firewalls shouldn't, but who knows...

That is a funny one. Rumour has it that thes 400x:: addresses are a "feature" of the Fritz!box. I don't know...
