Disroot is intended for encrypted private comms. But adding a +delimeter breaks the encryption systems that people might have for the non-delimited version of an email address. Personally, I never really used the + feature. Thunderbird doesn't support it on the outbound, so telling people to use first.last+somethinghere@gmail.com won't work for everyone.
