Nope, they're both stand-alone systems but I do not know HotDogEd. I have 
Aftershock on my tablet and I know there are fans for both products. It 
excellently serves my needs as a point while on the road, with the limitations.
 
Personally I see a future with no PCs anymore, just handhelds, even for Fido. 
So please feel encouraged to work on such a product yourself and keep providing 
support if that is what you intend to do.
