I ran IM and IE under DOS 5.0 -- if the VoIP lines would work under Windows 10, I'd consider putting dial-up back on the BBS. Most all of the analog lines have been replaced with VoIP. I got rid of the Magic Jack, as the device broke, and it was an original one, that was no longer available, and I couldn't afford upgrading at the time. I've got a deal now with the LineLink via TMobile that does a similar service. I'm running the Classic Phone Tools program that came with the US Robotics Fax Modem Drivers CD, under Windows 10. When I ran GT Power under dial-Up, I had InterMail as the frontend, GT Power as the BBS, and BGFAX as the backend. Error levels allowed me to go to the BBS for callers, netmail runs for FIDONet, or Faxes. When I went to telnet systems, I went to Argus for the frontend. While Synchronet has the SEXPOTS program to allow dial-up systems to connect into a telnet system, if IM under Windows 10 would work, I wouldn't care too much about the TUI. Admittedly, I liked being able to set my own color selections for IM and IE. Also, I remember the IMLIST nodelist with it...that'd be neat to have an FTN network of IM and IE users. :) Daryl ....
