Subj : TUI or not? To : All From : Dale Barnes Date : Wed Jul 29 2020 19:29:18 Ok, as I sit hear almost every night ripping and replacing code, finding new things I did not know existed, I need to ask those of you that wish to provide feedback. I can update InterMail to support other platforms etc but within IM (like FD) there is the visual side that folks have come to expect and see. Depending on which way I go, I run into limits or issues. I can move everything to FreeVision/Turbo Vision which the screens remind me of the old Win 3.x days but since FreePascal supports it on several platforms, makes sense (I just do not like the look). I can go pure just console mode but then you lose a number of quick glace items. I know on the InterMail Binkp, its gui based as I prefer that but folks on the Linux area, prefer text based running on a GUI less server. Now there is no way I can support everyones wishes so give me some feedback please before I tackle that section. I am currently replacing all the code that freepascal does not like (quite a bit of it) but wanted to hear from you. I can use BP to support the DOS flavor, FreePascal for everything else. I know freepascal supports goDosv2 but I have yet had time to get that working and not sure if it is really worth the effort since we are trying to support other platforms. --- InterEcho 1.21 * Origin: Home Of InterMail/InterEcho (1:1/133) .
