Subj : two weather FDNs? JK> It is sort of a split of the old nasa FDN.. one for "space" (APOD pics JK> in /nasa/) hatched by Alan Ianson, and one for "earth" (new weather JK> files and also MODIS files) hatched by Dan Richter. ok, no problem there... with my planned renovation of my files areas, it'll be easy enough to switch... i'm going to have to take the board down to do it, though... the configuration program doesn't rename and move the database files to the new names and directories so i have to make the changes in the board's config and then go play on the command line to move the databases over to the new layout... >> BTW: in filegate.zxx, the FDN line for the legion FDN is missing the >> ":"... JK> Ok, thanks.. I fixed that tonight. I will wait a day to get the new one JK> out (not that I've hatched a couple or ten recently ) i hear ya... it was just something i noticed when i did the list and ran it through wc to get the count... the refined grep line will look for "^% FDN: " when all is said and done... speaking of which, do you have a git repo for filegate.zxx? something to keep up with the changes? i've though about maybe sending you a patch cleaning up a few other formatting differences but it is no big deal, really ;) JK> The following will have to wait until tomorrow for me to take a look JK> at it. Long day... Thanks for pulling the list together though :) not a problem... i'm glad to do it... i throw things like this together all the time to make it easier for me than trying to hand edit so much stuff... today i spent most of the day (since 0400 and now 2300) down the fonts rabbit hole trying to figure out how to get my command line terminals to use more/all of the UTF-8 glyphs... so far, it works well but there's still one or two characters that don't convert from CP437 to UTF-8 properly... it is a lot better than it was, though... certainly better than seeing question marks or diamonds in place of the glyph should be there  )\/(ark And to this end they built themselves a stupendous super-computer which was so amazingly intelligent that even before its data banks had been connected up it had started from "I think therefore I am" and got as far as deducing the existence of rice pudding and income tax before anyone managed to turn it off. .... It's amazing what you can do with a little apple juice. --- * Origin: (1:3634/12.73) .
