I've done a lot of neat stuff with scripting.  I wrote a series of scripts 
that will pull a location's weather forecast off of Weather Underground's 
telnet server for the US and Canada and convert it to a text file for use with 
your BBS.  This would be something fun to use as an excuse to learn. :D
