I am still thinking it is one of the woodpeckers we have here.  Sometimes I
hear the call and, if it is quiet enough, I can hear that it is followed by
some pecking sounds.  We have a few woodpeckers that are not very large and
are difficult to spot when they are up in a tree with leaves on it.

If I ever get one spotted, I will be sure to share.  :)
