      Title: Icebox Salad
 Categories: Dairy, Greens, Vegetables, Cheese, Pork
      Yield: 10 servings
 
      2 c  Mayonnaise
    1/2 c  Sour cream
    1/2 ts Garlic powder
      1    Head iceberg lettuce;
           - chopped
      2 lg Red bell peppers; fine
           - chopped
      1 lg Onion; fine chopped
      9 oz Pkg green peas; thawed,
           - drained
      3    Celery ribs; fine chopped
      8 oz Shredded sharp Cheddar
           - cheese
      3 oz Real bacon bits
 
  In a medium bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, and
  garlic powder; mix well.
  
  In a large glass bowl, layer half the lettuce, bell
  pepper, onion, peas, celery, mayonnaise mixture, and
  cheese. Repeat layers once more then top with bacon
  bits.
  
  Cover and chill at least 2 hours before serving. Toss
  just before serving.
