February 13: National Tortellini Day

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Chicken Tortellini Soup
 Categories: Soups, Pasta, Vegetables, Herbs
      Yield: 8 Servings
 
      1 c  Chicken meat; diced
      1 tb Butter
    2/3 c  Carrots; diced
      1 c  Celery; diced
      1 c  Onion; diced
      3    Chicken bouillon cubes
  5 1/2 c  Water
           +=OR=+
     42 oz (3 cans) chicken broth (UDD)
      1 tb Flat-leaf parsley; chopped
    1/8 ts Ground thyme
    1/4 ts Garlic powder
           Salt & white pepper
    1/2 lb Tortellini, cooked
 
  In 3 qt. saucepan, melt butter. Add carrots; saute 2-3
  mins. Add chicken and cook 5 mins until chicken is done.
  Add celery and onions; cook 4-5 mins. Dissolve bouillon
  cubes in water; add to soup w/remaining ingredientss
  except tortellini. Simmer until all vegs are tender.
  
  Salt and pepper; then add tortellini.
