Subj : 1/20 Cheese Lovers Day 1 To : All From : Dave Drum Date : Tue Jan 18 2022 15:13:00 MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06 Title: How to Fry Cheese Categories: Text, Cheese Yield: 1 Method 1 lb Queso Blanco or Queso Fresco - in 1/2" batons Equipment: Knife, non-stick skillet, cutting board. Unwrap the cheese aand place on cutting board. Slice the cheese into 1/2" thick slices. Lay each slice flat on the cutting board and slice each into 1/2" batons (sticks). Heat up a non-stick pan on medium-high heat for 1-2 mins. Place the batons, a few at a time on the hot pan. You will see the edges start to bubble, but the cheese will not melt. Using a spatula, turn the cheese to the next side. Continue to turn it until all of the sides are brown. Remove the hot cheese to a paper towel to absorb any "oiliness". Serve immediately (within minutes) with your favorite salsa. Fried cheese is also delicious with fruit preserves.
